CONNECT

Connecting plays a powerful role in shaping young people’s careers. It helps turn curiosity into possibility by giving students the opportunity to meet a variety of people; through conversations with employers, mentors, and professionals, students gain an understanding of the world of work, learn what different roles really involve, and able to make informed choices and start to see realistic pathways for themselves. Connections in these ways offers inspiration and sparks motivation. For young people these connections can be life changing.

The Discovery Programme is KCC’s careers programme. It aims to provide young people with the skills, confidence and real-world insight they need to take meaningful steps towards their future. It’s a growing programme and KCC aim to offer even more opportunities for students to explore options, discover careers, meet professionals, gain knowledge and experience to help them in their future pathways.

The college is proud of the strong relationships built with local professionals and businesses, organisations. As the college continues to expand its careers programme they are looking to deepen their engagement with the local community.
